Wendy Schroeder was born in Northern Ontario and lives with her husband Garnet in a small community of Naughton, just west of Sudbury. She has three grown children and five precious grandchildren. Her summer months are spent at her camp in Walford; here she walks hand-in-hand with nature.

Wendy had no formal art training, but rather she developed her skills through close observation of other painters, books and her environment. She enjoys trying new techniques in acrylic, pen and ink, and pastels.

Wendy joined the Walden Art Club in 2001 and launched her painting career. She has won several ribbons at the Massey Museum Art Show and has had her worked showcased in the Kinsmen Homes, The Sudbury Theater Center, Massey museum, and the Greater Sudbury Libraries.
Always wanting to support community through her own art, Wendy has donated paintings for auctions to support worthy projects like the local Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Society and the Multiple Sclerosis to name a few.

On Wednesday afternoon you will find Wendy at Our Friendship Center in Lively volunteering her time teaching art to developmental delayed adults.
During quiet time, Wendy is known to write short, comical, stories and inspirational poems. This new source of enjoyment brings her great contentment; however, she is reluctant to share writings with others.

Wendy thrives to gently touch the lives of others through her creative energy and thanks God daily for all of her blessings.
